Every summer SOAR Special Needs offers a week-long day camp for all individuals with special needs, ages 3 years and older. We offer camp in-person at 2 locations in the Kansas City metro, from 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday. This year's SOAR Camp theme is Camp SOARLand, a family game night! Campers will participate in a variety of activities throughout the day including crafts, outdoor games, sensory, storytime, calming worship, missions, and more as they journey to SOARLand, playing games with their team, and learning how the Lord directs our paths.
The cost is $499 per camper which includes lunch and two snacks each day, one camp t-shirt, all activity costs, and any 1:1 behavioral and medical support they might need. Each camper ticket also has an additional $17.50 non-refundable registration fee.
Payment options:
- Pay in Full: $499 + 17.50 non refundable registration fee
- Payment Plan 1: 25% down ($124.75) + 17.50 non refundable registration fee
The next 3 payments will be 25% + 3% transaction fee per payment, due on the 15th of each following month and to conclude by June 15, 2024. Following initial payment, the payments will be made through Venmo or our website.
This option is unavailable after March 15, 2024.
- Payment Plan 1: 25% down ($124.75) + 17.50 non refundable registration fee
- Payment Plan 2: $50 deposit + 17.50 non refundable registration fee
The remaining $449 will be split into equal payments + 3% transaction fee per payment, due on the 15th of each following month and to conclude by June 15, 2024. Following initial payment, the payments will be made through Venmo or our website.
This option is unavailable after January 15, 2024
- Payment Plan 2: $50 deposit + 17.50 non refundable registration fee
If a payment plan is not paid in full by June 15th, you will forfeit your spot with no refund.
If you become more than 2 months delinquent at anytime, you will forfeit your spot with no refund.

I am no longer able to attend camp, do I get a refund and who should I contact?
Our refund policy is as follows:
Pay in Full: We provide full or partial refunds for camp depending upon the timing of the cancellation with the exception of the $17.50 non-refundable registration fee. Please email [email protected] for cancellations.
- Before May 1st: 100% Refund - $17.50 registration fee
- May 1st-15th: 75% Refund - $17.50 registration fee
- May 16th-31st: 50% Refund - $17.50 registration fee
- June 1st or After: No refund will be issued
Payment Plans: We provide partial refunds for camp depending upon the timing of the cancellation with the exception of a $50 deposit + 17.50 non-refundable registration fee. Please email [email protected] for cancellations.

When will I know if my camper will receive a scholarship?
We are working hard to secure additional scholarship funding through grants and business sponsorships. As we fundraise, we will notify you of how much of a scholarship we are able to offer. It is advised you still register with a Payment Plan to secure your spot, as they fill up fast, while scholarship determinations are made. Please make sure to complete and return a scholarship application if there is financial need.
Does SOAR require masks?
Will SOAR Camp be returning to Grace Church?
After 9 incredible years, SOAR has decided to partner with other churches in Johnson County to expand our reach. Grace Church will not host SOAR Camp in 2024.
If the third location is better for me, can I switch my registration?
Yes! We are working hard to secure a third location in the Kansas City metro area. Once announced, if it is more convenient for your family, please email [email protected] to switch your registration.
